The premises are located at
central Govan and enjoy excellent public transport connections to
Glasgow city centre, Paisley and Renfrew via adjacent bus and
underground stations. They are also served by good road links, being
only minutes from the M8.
Six Harmony Row comprises
three traditional sandstone buildings, grouped around a common
courtyard, which provide a total of 40 workspaces. Ideally suited for
small and start-up businesses, the units vary in size from 200 to 1,400
square feet and accommodate mainly office or studio activities,
although some ground floor spaces have been let to light industrial
enterprises. The premises provide an excellent working environment and
recently were upgraded in a £400,000 refurbishment programme.
In the 22 years it
has been operating, Six Harmony Row has earned a strong reputation as a
successful incubator for many start-up enterprises. Perhaps the best
known, recent example is DX Communications, a mobile telephone company,
which started life in just 200 square feet in 1991 and went on to
become one of the UK’s most successful young businesses with
a network of 160 stores nationwide.
